Sports Day 2017
Wow! What an amazing time we had competing in our teams. We had so much fun taking part in the space hopper race, sack race, balance ball, shuttle run, javelin and hurdles.
Well done to this year ‘s winners Blue team!
Year 2 Scooter proficiency workshop 2017
Year 2 have had so much fun learning how to be safe whilst on a scooter! We were taught how to make sure the scooter is safe before using it. We practised crossing the road safely making sure they got off the scooter, looked left and right, and listened for oncoming traffic before crossing. We made a poster to share with the rest of the school to show what they had learnt.
We even received a certificate for taking part!
Infant Agility Tournament February 2017
Some Year 2 children took part in an Infant Agility tournament at Towers School against other schools in Ashford. They tried so hard and had lots of fun! We came in 4th position out of 17 other schools, isn’t that amazing!
We took part in many challenges such as speed bounce, javelin, skipping, running and catching a ball. The children that took part in the event were Chloe, Micah, Frank, Evie, Joshua, Tom, Andreus and Freya.
We loved every minute and tried our best!
Cricket Tournament – January 2017
Well done to the children in Year 2 that took part in the Rapid Fire Cricket Tournament at the Stour Centre on Tuesday 24th January. We had a fun afternoon competing against other Ashford schools and managed to win one of our matches against Furley Park.

Skipping Workshop – September 2016
We were really lucky to learn new skipping skills and games when Liz Cox from ‘Skipping Workshops’ came to our school.
In year 1 and 2 the children had an exciting skipping lesson and at the end of the day they got to show the whole school what they had learnt. We all had so much learning new tricks!
We can practise our skipping at lunchtimes and playtimes now as our Midday supervisors learnt new games to play with us.
We learnt to skip on our own, with a partner and even long rope games but the best skipping was learning Double Dutch skipping using two ropes together! We all agreed it was a great day!
