Dear Parent/Carers,

Following our application to join Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust, we have officially received our Academy Order from the Department for Education, confirming our proposal to join.

This is a milestone moment for Downs View Infant School. Joining Aquila will provide us with a robust framework of support, shared expertise, and collaborative opportunities that will directly benefit both our staff and our pupils.

Now that the formal order is in place, we are moving into the practical phase of the transition. Our primary goal is to complete the conversion process by 1st September 2026. Over the coming weeks, we will be working closely with the team at Aquila and the DfE to manage the next steps.
