We have so much to share with you and your child to ensure that your child has a smooth transition to our school.
Please find below the timetable of events for children starting school in September 2026.
If you have accepted your child's place with us for September 2026, please come into the school office to collect your welcome pack.

We are delighted to inform you that Kent School Health will be hosting an online Getting ready for school transition webinar for parents and carers of children who are due to start school in September 2026.
The session will cover:
- What school readiness looks like
- How to access help and support from the health visiting team
- What you can expect from the Kent school health service once your child has started school

Please see below for a number of activities and ideas for you to explore with your child to help prepare them for their start at school.
There will be opportunities for you and your child to:
- Learn the journey to school together
- Visit the school and meet key staff
- See the school and your child’s classroom
- Understand more about how we have fun at Downs View
- Meet other families and friends
- Tell us as much as possible so that we can prepare for when your child starts
- We can’t wait to meet you in person and to tell you and share with you more about our school.
